Who we are
This website is run by Cláudio Gonçalves, a photography and video studio based in Lisbon, Portugal, operating as Cláudio Gonçalves Work and Out of Frame. We are responsible for the personal data collected through claudiogoncalves.work.

What data we collect
- Contact form: your name, email, phone number (optional), company (optional) and the message you write.
- Direct contact: the details you share when you email us, call us or message us on WhatsApp.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, recorded by our hosting and security systems.
- Cookies: see the cookies section below.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal, at your request (pre-contractual steps).
- To carry out the work we agree on and to issue invoices (contract and legal obligations).
- To keep the website secure and protect it from spam and attacks (legitimate interest).
- To use optional cookies, only if you accept them (consent).
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of trusted service providers, who only process data on our behalf:
- Hostinger: website hosting, with servers in the European Union (France).
- Google (Gmail): delivery and storage of the emails sent through the contact form.
- Optimole: optimisation and delivery of the images on the website.
- Google Fonts: loading of the fonts used on the website.
- CookieYes: recording your cookie choices.
- Wordfence: website security and firewall.
If you click on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, you leave our website and the privacy policy of Meta applies.
Some of these providers may transfer data outside the European Union. When that happens, the transfer is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a project: up to 2 years after the last contact.
- Client data and invoices: 10 years, as required by Portuguese tax law.
- Security records: up to 90 days.
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved in your browser. We use essential cookies to make the website work, remember your language and your cookie choices, and keep the website secure. These do not need your consent.
Any other cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings button at the bottom of the page, or delete cookies in your browser.
Photos and videos
The images in our portfolio come from projects carried out with our clients. If you appear in one of them and would like it removed, write to geral@claudiogoncalves.work and we will remove it.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To do so, write to geral@claudiogoncalves.work. We reply within one month.
If you think we are not handling your data correctly, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date below shows the latest version.
